Tiffany & Co.’s 2018 Holiday Windows Take You Behind the Scenes of a Dreamlike Tiffany Workshop

NEW YORK, NY (November 9, 2018)

Tiffany & Co. today unveils its 2018 holiday windows, a series of playful scenarios that pay homage to the legendary Gene Moore’s imaginative displays from the 1960s, with an unexpected twist.

At the heart of this year’s theme, “The Holidays Made by Tiffany,” is Tiffany’s holiday hero – a chrome articulated drawing figure first seen in Moore’s 1960s windows. For 2018, the holiday hero is reimagined in whimsical holiday construction scenes that illustrate a holiday spirit where charming and surprising moments unfold.

Tiffany’s 2018 holiday windows capture the magic of the season with wit, humor and a dash of glamor. In one scene, a handmade Tiffany Blue® stereo player fills the space and a white porcelain mouse, in contrasting scale, appears to be listening to a holiday mixtape on tiny headphones. In another, the holiday hero puts the finishing touches on a robot made of Tiffany Blue Boxes. Each of the windows in the storied flagship store on Fifth Avenue will feature this cast of characters alongside iconic jewelry collections such as Tiffany Paper Flowers™, Tiffany T, Tiffany HardWear and Tiffany Victoria®. The color palette for the holiday windows is primarily variations of Tiffany Blue® with pops of fluorescent colors, giving a modern edge to the classic aesthetic.

“This year’s windows offer a glimpse behind the scenes of a fantastical Tiffany holiday in the making,” said Richard Moore, divisional vice president, global store design and creative visual merchandising, Tiffany & Co. “With such exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail, the creation of one of our magical holiday windows takes more than a year, from concept to execution.”

The world-famous windows at Tiffany’s iconic Fifth Avenue flagship store are featured in a new book published by Assouline, Windows at Tiffany & Co., which showcases the awe and wonder of these imaginative displays.
