Traceability
& Craft

Setting the standard for sustainable luxury.

Since our creation in 1837, Tiffany & Co. aims to bring the extraordinary and the exceptional to our clients. Tiffany is the leader in diamond traceability, and we set the bar for colored gemstones and precious metals. We strive to set the standard for sustainable luxury, from sharing the origins of our primary raw materials to investing in the artisans who craft our jewelry.

Chapter two

Traceability: Diamonds and Colored Gemstones

Tiffany & Co. successfully achieved 99.99% traceability of newly sourced, individually registered diamonds to mine of origin or a supplier’s set of approved mines. We have 100% traceability
of our colored gemstones to their country of origin.

Chapter two

Uplifting Standards and Certifications

Tiffany & Co. led the LVMH Watches & Jewelry Responsible Diamond Committee in drafting and implementing the LVMH Source Warranty Protocol for Diamonds, a best-in-class sourcing policy. In addition to our rigorous sourcing protocol, Tiffany & Co. aligns to the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC) Code of Practices standard, with 99% of our diamond suppliers and 96% of our gold suppliers certified across our tier-one.

Chapter two

Craft: Celebrating Our Savoir Faire

Tiffany & Co. is proud to employ over 3,000 skilled artisans at our facilities, who are trained with best-in-class practices of cutting and polishing rough diamonds and revealing the radiance and beauty of each stone. We celebrate savoir faire and support our local communities by implementing the gold standard in living wage in areas where we source, operate and craft our remarkable jewelry. Our commitment to quality is augmented with respect for our natural world and artisans throughout our supply chains.

Chapter two

Responsible Business Along Our Value Chain

Over 99% of our employees across all five of our global workshops were hired locally, reflecting our belief in the importance of hiring and training individuals from the communities where we operate. Investing in our global workshops reinforces our commitment to traceability and transparency, ensuring that our operations are sustainable and beneficial to the communities we serve.

Chapter three

Climate

Taking bold action on climate change throughout our operations and supply chains.

Tiffany & Co. is dedicated to protecting the natural world by taking bold action on climate change and conservation. As the impacts of climate change accelerate, we are strengthening our commitment to protecting the planet. We have pledged to significantly reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across our full value chain—from the sourcing of our precious raw materials to the production of our jewelry to last-mile delivery and client engagement.

Chapter three

Gold Standard Practices in Our Stores

In April 2024, The Landmark achieved Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold Certification status, a mark of excellence in sustainable building practices and a commitment to creating a better environment for current and future generations. We are dedicated to ensuring that our retail, manufacturing, distribution and office spaces integrate sustainable building and design principles to minimize our GHG footprint in support of our net-zero goal.

Chapter three

Transporting Our Products Sustainably

Tiffany & Co. transferred all daily products between our New Jersey distribution center and The Landmark using 100% electric hybrid vehicles. We are focused on reducing the total distance traveled and moving toward lower-emission travel options such as the use of electric vehicles and sustainable fuels.

Chapter three

A Green Future for Our Blue Box Packaging

Tiffany & Co. Blue Boxes and bags were made of more than 76% recycled content. Sustainably sourcing our materials, maximizing recycled content and eliminating plastic are key to reducing our environmental impact and associated GHG emissions in that
these actions minimize waste, conserve natural resources and promote sustainability.

Chapter three

Partnership Within Our Supply Chains

Tiffany & Co. partnered with key suppliers on reducing emissions, with approximately 13% of key suppliers committed to a public climate target. We are focused on supporting our suppliers on their climate journeys to reduce the emissions associated with the products and services we procure. This is essential in mitigating climate risk within our supply chain and reducing Tiffany & Co.’s supply chain (Scope 3) footprint.

Chapter four

Conservation

Protecting the oceans to provide a vibrant
future for generations to come.

The ocean covers more than 70% of the surface of our planet, is home to ecologically diverse species, provides food and livelihoods to over 3 billion people and is important in regulating our climate. Tiffany & Co. has been deeply inspired by the oceans in our materials and design. Through our philanthropic commitments, the House is committed to protecting the ocean to provide a vibrant future for generations to come.

Chapter four

Announcing the Love For Our Oceans Initiative

Tiffany & Co. announced the Love For Our Oceans Initiative, our commitment to donate at least USD $1 million through the sales of the T Smile by Tiffany cord bracelets to support The Nature Conservancy’s goal of conserving 4 billion hectares of ocean by 2030. The Love For Our Oceans initiative represents the next chapter in our ongoing philanthropic journey and our love for the planet and the beautiful materials and resources that it affords us.

Chapter four

Our Philanthropic Approach to Conservation

Since 2000, Tiffany & Co. and The Tiffany & Co. Foundation have awarded over USD $45 million to ocean conservation. The Foundation’s grantees have supported the protection of over 15 million square kilometers of ocean through the creation and expansion of marine protected areas. We are committed to ocean conservation including large-scale marine protection, coastal conservation, coral restoration and blue carbon exploration.

Chapter four

Nature Inspiration in Our Store Design

The Tiffany & Co. Changi Airport and Cancun boutiques reopened with a unique coral façade created with 3D-printed ocean-bound plastics that highlight the beauty of corals specific to each region. These storefronts demonstrate how Tiffany & Co. is inspired by the beauty of the natural world. In 2024, the façades, designed by Aectual, were honored with the LVMH Innovation Award for Sustainability and Greentech. This prestigious award recognizes initiatives that exhibit exceptional innovation in minimizing environmental impact, promoting sustainability and advancing green technologies.

Chapter four

Engaging Employees in Conservation

Inspired by Tiffany & Co.’s love for a better tomorrow, employees across the globe celebrated World Oceans Month with beach cleanups through Tiffany Cares in New York City, Miami and Sydney. We energize employees across the world to raise awareness and appreciation of our local environments and are committed to preserving the natural beauty of our local waters.
