Tiffany & Co. and contemporary artist Daniel Arsham continue their groundbreaking artistic partnership with the unveiling of the Bronze Eroded Penny Vessel and limited-edition Tiffany & Arsham Studio HardWear necklace. A showcase of fine art and fine jewelry, the limited-edition series consists of 39 handcrafted sculptures, each meticulously finished at Arsham Studio in New York City. Within each patinated bronze vessel lies an unexpected iteration of a Tiffany & Co.^® icon: the limited-edition Tiffany & Arsham Studio HardWear necklace. Exquisitely crafted in 18k white gold—and set with over 1,000 diamonds totaling more than 6 carats, and over 500 tsavorites weighing more than 3 carats—the necklace is a bold reimagining of one of the House’s most coveted creations.

Daniel Arsham is a New York-based artist whose practice spans fine art, architecture, performance, and film. Arsham’s iconic works meld the past, present, and future, showcasing the malleability and power of nostalgia, often through references to moments of the late 20th century. Eroded casts of modern artifacts and contemporary human figures, his works are crafted out of geological material such as sand, selenite, and volcanic ash. NEW YORK, NY—Tiffany & Co. today announces the launch of its new HardWear by Tiffany campaign starring the House’s latest ambassadors, Mikey Madison and Greta Lee, together with Anna Weyant. Captured by renowned photographer and director Harley Weir, the campaign is centered on the theme of love’s transformative strength. The House’s legacy of inventive design and craftsmanship permeates every piece, blending complex artistry with natural inspiration to create a collection that is as emotive as it is awe-inspiring.

The collection begins with the lush world of oceanic plants, captured in delicate designs that call to mind an underwater garden. Notable pieces from the Ocean Flora chapter include a necklace with magnificent Zambian emeralds—celebrated for their rich, verdant hues—that seemingly float atop a garden of diamonds. The Seahorse chapter, inspired by Jean Schlumberger’s iconic 1968 brooches, reinterprets these creatures with a contemporary twist. Fluted moonstones and an intricate arrangement of colored gemstones, including zircons and sapphires, create texture and contrast, bringing these mythical beings to life with both elegance and complexity.

The Sea Turtle designs feature diamond-rich patterns and intricate gold details. The geometry of the turtle shell is beautifully sublimated by Tiffany artisans, who meticulously engrave each piece. A standout design, the Sea Turtle pendant, features a hidden mechanism that transforms the piece from pendant to brooch, reflecting the turtle’s journey from land to sea. NEW YORK, NY—Tiffany & Co. and Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) are pleased to announce Jameel Mohammed as the recipient of the inaugural Jewelry Designer Award, a first-of-its-kind award recognizing outstanding American jewelry designers who are committed to driving inclusivity within the design industry. Jameel Mohammed receives USD $50,000 and a one-year paid fellowship within Tiffany & Co.’s design department.

To celebrate the award, Tiffany & Co. and CFDA hosted an intimate cocktail reception at Tiffany & Co.’s iconic Fifth Avenue flagship: The Landmark. At the event, Tiffany & Co.’s Global Vice President of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging, Stéphanie Oueda-Cruz, presented the award along with CFDA CEO Steven Kolb and Tiffany & Co. CMO Andrea Davey.

Throughout the course of four months, the participants engaged in monthly mentoring sessions with Tiffany & Co.’s design team, received tours of The Landmark and the House’s Jewelry Design and Innovation Workshop (JDIW), and in-depth lecture series focusing on various topics including visual merchandising, jewelry trends, brand identity, sustainability, and gemstones. Part of Tiffany’s and the CFDA’s respective social impact platforms, Tiffany Atrium and CFDA Impact, this award reflects both institutions’ shared ideals of innovation and commitment to excellence within the world of design.

A Historic Tiffany & Co. Pocket Watch Bears Testament to the House’s Horological Legacy and Sets a New Record Price in an Auction of Titanic Memorabilia

NEW YORK, NY — Tiffany & Co. today announces its record-breaking acquisition of a historic pocket watch from 1912. Acquired at auction in the UK for $1.97 million, the 18k gold pocket watch is the highest-valued piece of Titanic memorabilia ever sold.

The Tiffany & Co. timepiece was given by three prominent women, Mrs. Madeleine Talmage Astor, Mrs. Marian Longstreth Thayer and Mrs. Eleanor Elkins Widener, as a gesture of thanks to Captain (later Sir) Arthur H. Rostron, captain of the passenger ship R.M.S. Carpathia, who saved them – along with nearly 700 other passengers – when R.M.S. Titanic sank after hitting an iceberg on its maiden voyage in April 1912.

A ledger in The Tiffany Archives records that the watch was purchased by Mrs. G. D. Widener, one of the three women. It is engraved with the inscription “Presented to Captain Rostron with the heartfelt gratitude and appreciation of three survivors of the Titanic April 15^th 1912, Mrs. John B. Thayer, Mrs. John Jacob Astor and Mrs. George D. Widener” and carries the enameled monogram AHR on its caseback.

The watch was presented to Captain Rostron at a luncheon hosted by Mrs. Astor at her residence in New York City. An intimate and significant occasion with fellow Titanic survivors, the event was reported in local newspapers at the time.

“Every man, woman and child on the Titanic had a story to tell and we tell those stories a century later through their memorabilia,” said Andrew Aldridge, Managing Director at Henry Aldridge and Son Ltd, the auction house that held the sale of the watch. “This watch is a testament to the bravery of Sir Arthur Rostron and the regard he was held in by the widows of three of the most influential men on the Titanic. The fact that Tiffany & Co. purchased the piece 112 years after selling it shows the circle being completed and it going home.”

The pocket watch is an important symbol of Tiffany & Co.’s horological legacy, which dates back to 1847, when the jewelry house began to retail watches and clocks. In 1874, the House opened its own Manufacture in the heart of Geneva where it produced timepieces that featured a variety of complications and were often richly decorated with enamel, engraving and gemstones. The acquisition of Rostron’s pocket watch uplifts Tiffany & Co.’s longstanding legacy of commemorating acts of love and timeless bonds.

New York, NY—Tiffany & Co. today unveils its 2024 holiday campaign, With love, Since 1837, starring House ambassador Anya Taylor-Joy as she explores New York City in a snow-dusted winter wonderland. Tapping into the House’s illustrious heritage, the campaign is brought to life through captivating visual storytelling with film and still imagery. Taylor-Joy explores New York City draped in the House’s iconic collections, capturing the essence of each collection, highlighting the House’s birthplace as the location where every act of love is celebrated, from timeless bonds to meaningful beginnings.

Directed by Jonas Lindstroem, the campaign film displays the renowned actress in a little black dress entering a door in a pared-down setting; the same vault-inspired entrance at The Landmark. She implores viewers to follow her as she explores “the city where love never sleeps.” Walking over the Brooklyn Bridge, the actress wears HardWear by Tiffany designs, highlighting a gift that celebrates new heights. NEW YORK, NY—Today, Tiffany & Co. and the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) are pleased to announce the Tiffany & Co. x CFDA Jewelry Designer Award. The first-of-its-kind award recognizes outstanding American jewelry designers who are committed to driving inclusivity within the design industry, elevating jewelry design as its own category akin to womenswear and menswear.

Participants who are selected will be granted mentorship and an immersive learning experience, delving into the environments that nurture the House’s legacy of inventiveness and unparalleled craftsmanship. One designer among the participants will be selected to receive a yearlong fellowship within Tiffany & Co.’s design department, along with a $50,000 award.

This inaugural award signifies a partnership between the House’s Tiffany Atrium social impact platform and the prestigious Council’s CFDA Impact program to foster the next generation of American jewelry designers. Each participant will embody the core pillars of creative excellence, inventiveness and extraordinary savoir faire that have been synonymous with Tiffany & Co. since its establishment in 1837, and which also reflect CFDA’s mission to strengthen American fashion globally by amplifying creative excellence, business longevity and positive impact since its establishment in 1963.

The application process for the 2024 program launches on Monday, July 29, 2024 and closes on Friday, August 16, 2024.
